Mississippi voters elected Stacey Pickering as State Auditor of Mississippi in 2007 to ensure that embezzlement and government waste will not be tolerated. Since being sworn in as Mississippi’s 41^st State Auditor, 64 individuals are awaiting trial, and another 70 have pled or been found guilty in a court of law. Under Auditor Pickering’s watch, over $4 million has been recovered on behalf of Mississippi taxpayers, making the past 3 years.  Auditor Pickering takes his job very seriously and has dedicated over 530 hours educating elected officials and public employees on the consequences if they break the law.
