A 7th generation Mississippian growing up in Jones County, Stacey is currently serving his 2nd term as State Auditor of Mississippi.
Stacey worked on his family’s farm growing up and was active in the 4-H Club. The son of a farmer and a school teacher, Stacey learned the value of a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay beginning at an early age.
Stacey attended West Jones High School and is an alumnus of Jones County Junior College, Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Stacey and his wife Whitney met while attending Samford.
Stacey and Whitney live in Laurel with their 4 children. They are active members of First Baptist Church of Laurel where they teach a young couple’s Sunday school class and volunteer in the children’s ministry.
